Small Groups

Life is better together.  Relationships matter.

These aren't just catchy sayings or cliches. These values drive us as body of Christ followers. We believe the Bible clearly teaches that life alongside fellow believers is crucial. In a time when isolation is the norm, small groups help us press into community and aid in our spiritual formation.

Our small group ministry provides a place where believers can grow in their relationship with the Lord while simultaneously growing in their relationship with one another. They help us know and be known.

All small groups at CBC meet on Sunday from 6:00pm-7:30pm in homes throughout our community!

Chris & Ashley Wacker: Judges (CLOSED)

Judges

The book of Judges cracks a window into the depths of the human soul. Watch a nation struggle with its identity and relationship to its God. Heroes and heroines arise, who seem to have the potential to save Israel. But in the end, each proves to be a broken savior that cannot deliver.

The accounts and truths within are not just archaic tales with no relevance for us today. Rather, we will work through each chapter unpacking the truth of God’s grace in the midst of human wickedness, and see how only the divine can redeem the fallen.

Rick and Sharon Johnson: 2 Thessalonians (CLOSED)

2 Thessalonians

Like a tender shepherd, Paul wrote the letters of 1 & 2 Thessalonians to the church he founded in the large city of Thessalonica. These were friends he knew, loved, and missed. His purpose in writing was to thank them for their work of faith, their labor of love, and their continued hope in the Lord Jesus Christ . . . and His coming again.

Jonathan and Beth Dowty: Sermon Rewind (CLOSED)

Sermon Rewind

Ever wanted to ask a question during the sermon? Join our small group as we share our thoughts and questions each week on the Sunday morning sermon. We'll reason together to understand the Biblical text more and work to apply the message to our daily lives. Missed the sermon? That's ok! The starting point is the Biblical text, and we'll review it together. So scribble some notes on the back of the bulletin and join us as we dive deeper into God's Word!

Jacob Tanner: Financial Peace University (CLOSED)

Financial Peace University

"Take control of your money with Financial Peace University! This class uses biblical wisdom and common sense to help you tackle budgeting, pay off debt, and make your money work for you!" My wife, Jenny, and I used this program to get out of debt about a year before she passed away. It was a sure comfort to us that we didn't have credit card bills or car debt to worry about. We were able to take her to every specialist recommended and not worry about how we were going to pay for them. And, when she passed away I could quickly write a check for her final expenses because we had it in our emergency fund. This course is worth the $80 for the book and online accesses, but don't let $80 keep you from taking it. If cost is going to be an issue, I've already worked out several scholarships.
